Ecosign was retained by Resorts of the Canadian Rockies to conduct a technical assessment focused on evaluating lift system opportunities within the existing Mont‑Sainte‑Anne ski area. The objective of the assignment was to confirm optimal lift alignments and provide decision‑ready technical documentation to support future lift investments.

The project began with a high‑resolution LiDAR‑based analysis of the existing ski area, which allowed Ecosign to develop a detailed mountain inventory documenting current terrain, slopes, infrastructure, and skier circulation patterns. This data‑driven approach provided a robust foundation for assessing feasible lift corridors and terminal locations.

Building on the mountain inventory, Ecosign studied and confirmed the optimal alignments for three new high‑speed lift systems. The analysis considered terrain characteristics, vertical rise, horizontal length, terminal siting constraints, and integration with existing and proposed ski terrain and base area circulation.

To support implementation, Ecosign prepared comprehensive lift tender packages for each proposed lift. These included overall lift alignments and profiles, top and bottom terminal locations with load and unload elevations, and skier circulation drawings illustrating how each lift would function within the broader ski area network. The project concluded with a final technical report documenting findings, assumptions, and recommendations, providing the client with a clear and practical basis for advancing to procurement and design.
