Kolašin 1450 East Base-Jelovica Master Plan Montenegro

Ecosign developed the first master plan for Kolašin 1450 in 2008 as part of a regional economic development study commissioned by Montenegro’s Ministry of Economic Development. Following several phases of development at the main base area and the creation of a new upper village, Kolašin 1600, the resort engaged Ecosign to explore a new base area portal on the east side of the resort in the Jelovica Valley.

The East Base Area Master Plan envisions a vibrant new village featuring real estate opportunities, a day-visitor portal for Kolašin 1450, and a future connection to the proposed Jelovica Ski Area farther down the valley. This new base will be integrated with a 9-hole golf course, residential developments, and an extensive network of recreational trails. The new base area provides direct access to Kolašin 1450 from communities on the east side of the Komovi-Bjelasica range and it’s the first step in development of the Jelovica Valley into a four-season mountain resort.
