Mieke Prummel
Mieke Prummel studied Landscape Architecture at the Rijks Hogere School voor Tuin en Landschapsinrichting in Holland. She started her career with Ecosign in the early 1980s and became one of the senior resort planners in our base area planning division. Mieke lead projects that included major base area master plans or mountain resort village design components; her specific duties involved the coordination of projects, client communication, design, and programming for base area facilities.
During her career with Ecosign, Mieke completed Base Area Master Plans, Technical Assessments, Conceptualization and Envisioning Studies, Land Use Concepts, and Village Renovation Plans for projects of all sizes worldwide. Whether working on greenfields or historic resorts in Europe, Mieke lent her expertise to ensure all projects were planned with efficiency.
A long time Whistler resident, Mieke was a founding director on the board of the Association of Whistler Area Residents for the Environment (AWARE) in 1989, and a volunteer on the Resort Municipality of Whistler’s Bicycle Task Force in the early 2000s.
Mieke officially retired in 2018; she continues to make herself available to the team at Ecosign to work on special projects.
