Adam Schroyen is a Senior Base Area Planner, Principal, and Managing Partner at Ecosign. Prior to joining Ecosign in 2007, Adam lived in Wellington, New Zealand, where he obtained his Bachelor of Architecture from the Victoria University of Wellington. Most engaged on projects that require master planning, site planning, conceptual building design, and other four season recreational activities, Adam is proud to see many of his designs built and enjoyed by people across many continents and countries such as China, Japan, Türkiye, the United States and Canada. His most memorable projects include the South Britannia original Master Plan and Vision, where he incorporated new Surf Park technology as an anchor to a 1,000+ unit master planned neighbourhood along the Sea to Sky Highway in British Columbia; Thaiwoo (Chongli) greenfield site, a large village and mountain development as part of the overall site development for the Beijing Olympic Winter Games (including schemes for the Nordic facility and ski jumping sites); and HoliMont private ski club in New York state, where Adam engaged the club’s membership through the master planning process and addressed unique challenges to ensure that their club culture was maintained through the next major phases of the club’s growth and future development. These sample projects spotlight Adam’s hard-working demeanour, approachability and availability to clients around the world.

Outside of the work place, Adam skis, snowboards, mountain bikes, hikes, kitesurfs and surfs. His favourite mountains to recreate on worldwide are Ecosign’s hometown mountain, Whistler, and Niseko, in Japan.
