Ecosign's Base Area Master Plan for Revelstoke Mountain Resort focused on expanding the village with 2,600 new units and enhancing the pedestrian area. By 2021, Ecosign also integrated golf course real estate into the resort’s evolving, skier-friendly community.
Revelstoke Mountain Resort, located on Mount Mackenzie in the Monashee and Selkirk Mountain Ranges of British Columbia, opened in 2006. Located 200 km northeast of Kelowna (population of 160,000), it quickly earned a reputation as a powder-loving skier’s paradise with an increasing array of summer recreation activities.
In 2019, Ecosign prepared a Base Area Master Plan update of the resort’s village and surrounding neighbourhoods to guide development over the next ten to fifteen years. Plans include an additional 2,600 units in the form of hotel rooms, condo-hotels and single-family residences (8,000-bed units total), 10 per cent of which will be for employee housing; the commercial pedestrian area will be extended from the Revelation Gondola to additional buildings south of the Sutton Hotel; and day skier parking and employee housing will shift over time to a new portal on the north side of the village.
In 2021, Ecosign planned golf course-oriented real estate for the Cabot development's 18-hole golf course, integrated into Revelstoke Mountain Resort’s Village.
