Le Massif de Charlevoix is on the St. Lawrence River in Petite-Rivière-Saint François, approximately 85 km northeast of Québec City, Canada.

With the proposed land use plan as per the original Master Plan for Le Massif, approximately 460 units containing 1,840 beds could be developed, yielding approximately 1,340 skiers. The Resort Master Plan encompassed day skier parking, on-piste skier capacity, and the ideal terrain for developing a ski resort.

Le Massif’s main skier market is Quebec City (population 557,000). Detailed planning for a parking lot expansion, ski area expansion and beginner learning areas was completed for the Chalet du Sommet area, including detailed grading plans, three moving carpets and two platter lifts.

Ecosign has completed resort master planning work for Le Massif de Charlevoix since 2009. Our work has included the ski area, a future resort village, real estate developments, the integration of the Club Med Resort, and a beginner ski zone. Throughout the design process, Ecosign worked closely with the Club Med and Le Massif teams to create an outstanding destination and guest experience. Club Med officially opened in 2021 and Ecosign continues to assist with real estate and four-season recreation design to enhance the year-round destination experience.
