Ecosign, commissioned by Strategy Partners Group, conducted a detailed analysis of Kirovsk’s mountainous terrain, assessing slope gradients and sun exposure. We identified optimal ski terrain, lift capacity, and resort expansion zones, proposing infrastructure investments and four-season recreation opportunities to bolster the region's economy.

Kirovsk is a town in the Murmansk Oblast region, located on the edge of the Khibiny Mountains in northwestern Russia. Ecosign was hired by Strategy Partners Group to analyze all terrain within the study area to assess slope gradients and sun exposure.

Ecosign identified all areas suitable for ski terrain expansion; base area development; establishing optimal lift and trail capacity within the existing ski area facilities; and the most valuable resort development zones for both expansion and new greenfield sites. Ecosign generated a schedule of proposed infrastructure and facilities for investment, including cost estimates, and identified other four-season recreation opportunities to nurture the region’s economic prosperity. Based on the findings from Ecosign’s Technical Assessment, the client can develop expansion plans for existing resorts (Big Wood, Town Hill & Kukisvumchoor) and their new resort on Vudyavrchorr Mountain.
