Ecosign's Master Plan for Keystone Resort’s Mountain House base proposed replacing outdated skier service buildings with multi-story structures, enhancing tourist accommodations while preserving the snow front and improving pedestrian and transit access, revitalizing the resort’s original base area.
In 2007, Ecosign prepared a village redevelopment Master Plan for the Mountain House base and an overall Master Plan for Keystone Resort, Colorado. Mountain House is Keystone Resort’s original base area; it contains the alpine event finish area and the main teaching area for beginners and children.
Ecosign’s village redevelopment Master Plan suggested replacing the existing one-story skier service buildings with three and four-story buildings, featuring tourist accommodation on the upper floors. The design respected the existing snow front while improving pedestrian and transit access to the base.
