In 2010, Ecosign was tasked with identifying four suitable locations for ski resorts in Russia's Kamchatka Region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We conducted Technical Assessments, developed preliminary concepts, and created detailed Resort Master Plans for future development.

The Kamchatka Region is in Russia’s far east; it features a1,250 km long peninsula and volcanoes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In 2010, Ecosign was asked to identify four areas in the region that could be deemed suitable for ski resort development.

Ecosign was to determine location, exact boundaries and areas of territories within which planning and building of four mountain resorts could take place in the future. Ecosign’s Technical Assessment was carried out over the four study areas in summer of 2010, with preliminary concepts developed and presented to the client in the fall of 2010. After a preferred Master Plan Concept was selected for each study area, preparation of four Resort Master Plans were designed.
