Homewood USA

Homewood Mountain Resort is located on the shore of Lake Tahoe, California.

Predominantly a day ski area, Ecosign has worked with Homewood Mountain Resort to plan a village at the base of the ski area, on the site of the existing day skier parking area.

The village, built on a layer of underground parking, would have eight buildings featuring ground-level commercial and community centre space with one to three levels of accommodation above. Accommodation would have approximately 256 units and 784 beds, increasing destination visitation and walkable lift access for in-resort guests. 

Ecosign also integrated an improved interface between the ski slopes and base area, reworking the drop off scenario along Highway 89, existing circulation patterns through the neighbouring developments, and connections to the lakeshore.
