In 2024, Ecosign crafted a comprehensive Master Plan for HoliMont, a private ski club in New York state. The phased plan, shaped by extensive member feedback, aimed to enhance infrastructure and introduce year-round amenities while preserving the club’s core values and community spirit.
Established in 1962, HoliMont Ski Club features 135 skiable acres in North Western New York. Ecosign's work involved designing a sustainable, phased plan that aligned with the club’s core values and future development goals. Ecosign's work focused on Resort Master Planning, Ski Area Design, Resort Village Design, and Four-Season Recreation Planning.
To ensure the plan reflected the needs and desires of HoliMont’s members, an extensive outreach effort was launched. In collaboration with business and industry analyst Nixvir, Ecosign developed and distributed surveys to the club’s members at various stages of the planning process. The responses were integral to shaping the final Master Plan. Additionally, Ecosign and Nixvir held two town hall presentations to engage with members, address concerns, and gather further feedback.
The final Master Plan outlined improvements to infrastructure, including individual buildings, roads, and parking. It also identified potential real estate development opportunities and introduced new recreational amenities for year-round use, enhancing the overall member experience. By focusing on a phased implementation, the plan ensures that the club can grow and adapt while preserving its unique identity and community spirit.
