Travelling for Business in Japan
At Ecosign, every business trip is an opportunity to advance projects and strengthen relationships. When our principals travel, their schedules are packed with site inspections, client meetings, conferences, and tradeshows. From touchdown to takeoff, we approach time on the road with the same strategic mindset that drives our master planning work.
Along the way, the “in-between” moments—sharing meals, learning local customs, and experiencing unique environments—help us build deeper connections with clients and partners.
Most recently, Ecosign’s President, Ryley Thiessen, visited Japan to meet with clients and explore resort sites ahead of the winter season. Highlights from Ryley's trip included:
- Touring the new gondola installation at Niseko Grand Hirafu, and previewing ALPEN NODE, their new restaurant opening December 20.
- Connecting with teams at Niseko Hanazono, Niseko Moiwa, and Niseko Annupuri to review ongoing projects and discuss future initiatives.
- Explored Hakuba Valley, Shiga Kogen and Myoko and was welcomed with fresh snow and blue skies.
- Enjoying culinary staples like ramen, sushi, and even quick stops at 7-Eleven for onigiri and egg salad sandwiches.
- Experiencing the efficiency of the Shinkansen.
Ecosign is proud to collaborate with resort operators worldwide, bringing strategic planning and design expertise to mountain destinations that inspire.
