Myler Mountain Armenia

Ecosign's work for Myler Mountain Resort transformed a site near the City of Yerevan, Armenia, into a premier mountain destination. After a thorough technical study of the entire country, the client selected a mountain for our team to study and prepare a Master Plan for, with the goal of developing year-round mountain resort with recreational activities, a commercial village, and public accommodation, enhancing the region’s appeal.

In 2018, Ecosign was retained to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study of a mountain they had identified as a future destination mountain resort location. The proposed study area was situated within a one-hour drive from Yerevan, Armenia. After the completion of our study, we found that it physically had promising potential for a substantial resort, however it was in a snow shadow – snow fell on the backside of the mountain, before hitting the potential resort site.

Our team suggested that we conduct what we call a Golden Analysis Feasibility Study – a thorough analysis of locations via satellite mapping, research and physical site exploration – of the entire country of Armenia, to locate the top five locations for development of a year-round mountain resort. We then rated these locations, spending days studying the land through several air and ground site inspections, reviewing geological weather and solar data.

 At the end of our studies, we narrowed the search down to three ideal locations. After reviewing our Golden Analysis Feasibility Study, the client selected which one of the three he wanted to proceed with: Yeghipatrush (which is now know as Myler Mountain Resort) was selected due to it being the best mountain for skiing, abundance of land for the development of a resort village and accommodation, and due to its close proximity to Yerevan.

Myler Mountain Resort is one of the world’s newest ‘Greenfield’ projects, developed with the intention of enhancing the region’s appeal through alpine skiing facilities in the winter, plus a variety of year-round recreation and sightseeing activities. Construction of Phase 1 of the resort commenced in 2022 and the first skiing guests were welcomed during a soft opening February 20, 2024. Myler Mountain Resort officially opened with ceremonial government recognition January 13, 2025.

At present, the mountain boasts three main lifts, a magic carpet, 3 on mountain restaurants, 22 kilometers of ski trails and over 970 metres of vertical. The base area includes multi-use village buildings, public accommodation, skier and guest services, pedestrian trails and plazas, green spaces and parks, internal roads and surface parking areas, access road, and a range of four-season sport/recreation facilities.

Ecosign continues to work closely with the client on the detailed planning for ski lifts and trails, the resort village centre, and real estate development in the Myler Base area.
