Ecosign has significantly shaped the Mt. Bachelor Ski Area since 1985, optimizing operational efficiency and enhancing facilities. Our Master Plans have prioritized beginner terrain, recommended detachable quad chairlifts, and ensured sustainable practices, transforming Mt. Bachelor into a highly frequented ski destination.

Ecosign has played a significant role in the development of the Mt. Bachelor Ski Area, located 22 miles southwest of Bend, Oregon. Since first preparing a Master Plan for the resort in 1985, Ecosign has been involved in multiple updates, culminating in the Master Development Plan completed in March 2010, which received approval from the U.S. Forest Service in late 2011.

The primary objectives of the development plan included optimizing the operational efficiency of the existing facilities, balancing lift and trail capacities, and enhancing the quality of facilities to meet the growing expectations of both local and destination skiers. Recognizing the importance of beginner terrain, the plan also focused on improving access to these areas while providing opportunities for year-round recreational activities.

Notable recommendations included the installation of detachable quad chairlifts, which significantly boosted the resort's capacity and appeal, as well as plans for expanding the beginner zone and reconfiguring base area services to better accommodate peak day visitors. Ecosign's commitment to environmental stewardship ensured that all proposed facilities and activities adhered to sustainable practices. The ongoing relationship between Ecosign and Mt. Bachelor continues to shape the resort into a premier ski destination in Central Oregon, balancing growth with environmental sensitivity.
