Ecosign unveiled a Master Plan for Grouse Mountain in 2019, proposing a new gondola to enhance operations and capacity. Completed in 2024, the new gondola, Blue Grouse Gondola, promises improved accessibility and redundancy, solidifying the mountain’s status as a premier recreation hub.

Grouse Mountain is a popular outdoor recreation destination in North Vancouver, Canada. Recognizing the resort’s year-round popularity and the need for operational redundancy, Ecosign proposed the addition of a new gondola to complement the iconic Red Tram, which has been in service since 1976. This new gondola doubles upload capacity, supports future growth, and ensures safe, efficient operations, while providing a backup transportation option.

Blue Grouse Gondola is expected to bring significant economic benefits to the local community through job creation and increased business opportunities. Ecosign played a key role in collaborating with various stakeholders, including the City of North Vancouver's Engineering, Parks & Environment Department, and the watershed society, ensuring that the development plan met the needs of all involved parties.

Blue Grouse Gondola opened on December 12, 2024. It enhances Grouse Mountain’s accessibility and maintains its reputation as a premier destination for both locals and visitors, offering diverse year-round recreational activities just minutes from downtown Vancouver.

"The people at Ecosign are experts in their field - they are professional, responsive and are customer focused. I had a fabulous experience working with the entire Ecosign team, would work with them again and would recommend their services to other Mountain Resorts."
