Golden Skybridge Canada

In 2020, Ecosign was retained to prepare a Master Plan for Golden Skybridge, one of British Columbia’s most distinctive adventure tourism attractions.

Located in Golden, BC, the attraction serves summer travellers along the Trans-Canada Highway between Vancouver and Calgary while also drawing visitors from Banff, Lake Louise, Revelstoke, and the Calgary region. Building on Golden’s growing reputation as a four-season mountain destination, the master plan provides a strategic framework to expand visitation, diversify experiences, and guide future development.

A key component of the planning process was a comprehensive site analysis. Ecosign evaluated terrain, elevation, and solar exposure across the property to identify suitable development areas and inform future recreational facilities, experiences and trails. Slope analysis helped define opportunities and constraints for different forms of development, while elevation studies provided critical insight into the relationship between the canyon, mountain terrain, and existing facilities.

The Master Plan outlines a four-phase implementation strategy. Phase 1 focuses on optimizing current summer operations by increasing capacity, improving circulation, and enhancing the guest experience. One of the first projects realized from this vision was the Eagle Net Park, introduced as part of the bridge journey and designed to expand the attraction’s family-oriented offerings. Announced by Pursuit as a major addition to Golden Skybridge, the Eagle Net Park reflects the Master Plan’s emphasis on inclusive, accessible experiences that broaden the appeal of adventure tourism while supporting sustainable growth.
