Ecosign’s visionary master planning transformed Changbaishan into a world-class, year-round resort. From luxury hotels and vibrant village life to world-class skiing and four-season recreation, Ecosign’s work at Changbaishan showcases a perfect blend of nature, mountain culture, and adventure in Jilin Province, China.
The first phase of the project introduced a pedestrian village featuring six luxury 4-star and 5-star hotels, commercial pedestrian village, a traditional Chinese family spa, a 1,000 seat theater and an interpretive museum. Guests enjoy a scenic man-made lake with a waterfront restaurant, as well as a world-class golf experience with three championship golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus and Robert Trent Jones Jr.
Ecosign designed the ski area to accommodate over 7,000 skiers at one time and it is serviced by a combination of 8-passenger gondolas and high-speed chairlifts. The gondolas provide year-round access to a mountain top restaurant, hiking trails and summer sightseeing.
To further enhance the resort’s appeal, Ecosign incorporated a wide array of four-season activities including zip lines, snow tubing, mountain biking, horse back riding, water sports and an alpine coaster. Changbaishan’s well integrated village, luxurious accommodations and diverse recreational offerings make it a premiere destination blending relaxation, adventure and cultural experiences into seamless retreat.
2010
In 2010, Ecosign completed a comprehensive Ski Area, Resort Village, Real Estate and Overall Land Use Master Plan for Wanda Commercial Properties Co. Ltd., for their project in Fusong County, located in the north-east of Jilin Province. This project sits at the western base of Changbai Mountain and covers an area of 21 square kilometres. Changbaishan is accessible by car, high-speed rail, and the Changbai Mountain airport.
