Ecosign has played a pivotal role in shaping the Alpine Ski Club in Collingwood, Ontario. Through innovative master planning, chairlift installations, and base area improvements, Ecosign has ensured the club remains competitive and offers an exceptional skiing experience.

Ecosign has been hired by the Alpine Ski Club in Collingwood, Ontario on several occasions, beginning with the preparation of a Technical Assessment of the area in 2001.

Initially hired to produce a Ski Area Master Plan and advise on a new chairlift proposal, Ecosign quickly delivered a draft that detailed the installation of the Summit Express, a new six-passenger chairlift installed in the summer of 2001. The final Master Plan was completed in 2002, followed by the installation of the Millennium Chair, a fixed grip quad chairlift, on the northern slopes in 2003.

In 2010, the club sought Ecosign’s expertise to update the Master Plan, focusing on enhancing base area facilities to remain competitive with other ski clubs. Ecosign’s recommendations included renovating the base area and optimizing parking while maintaining operational efficiency. This led to the design of a new day lodge, with Ecosign assisting in the siting and grading around the lodge in 2013 to ensure seamless access from parking and ski lifts during construction.

Ecosign continues to provide support by evaluating proposals for beginner lifts, trail adjustments, terrain park locations, and skier traffic mitigation, solidifying the Alpine Ski Club as a premier destination for skiing and snowboarding in the region.
