Since 1975, Ecosign has been contributing to the master planning of mountain resorts around the world. Starting with resorts in British Columbia & Alberta, Ecosign quickly captured the attention of resort owners and operators in the United States, Switzerland, and Japan, establishing the company as an internationally acclaimed and sought after mountain resort planning firm. Ecosign’s home office has humbly remained in the same office space at 8073 Timber Lane, Whistler, B.C., a collaborative space inspired by the mountain resort we live, work, and recreate in.
During our 50 years in operation, Ecosign has been a proud contributor and supporter of SAM – Ski Area Management, the voice of the mountain resort industry. Our master planners will lead a one-hour walking tour of Whistler Village, showcasing how this world-renowned resort was designed and built. From rerouted creeks and underground servicing to storm water, snow management, and back-of-house systems, discover the design principles that make Whistler a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly village that balances beauty with function.

SAM assembled some of the top master planning minds in the industry (Ecosign, SE Group, Select Contracts) to dive deep into how our business is evolving—here in North America and around the globe. This session will be part practical playbook, part visionary forecast—and one conversation you won’t want to miss.
- PEAK 2 PEAK Talks
- Take a scenic ride on Whistler Blackcomb’s PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola with one of our master planners, who will lead a mini-session on how to stand out in a crowded summer market when you are a ski area.
