The Falls Creek Ski Fields is one of the most popular resorts in Australia. The Falls Creek Resort is located in the northeastern portion of the state of Victoria, approximately 4½ hours from Melbourne by automobile. Ecosign was approached in 2005 to prepare a comprehensive master plan of the resort including lifts, trails, inter-resort transportation and a mini-village with approximately 250 units plus commercial shops.
The village concept includes six condotel style buildings with commercial, recreation and skier service space on the ground floor and two single story stand-alone retail buildings. The six condotel buildings contain approximately 200 units of accommodation and 920 beds. The mountain skiing capacity would be 11,000 at build-out.
