Sugar Bowl Resort USA

Ecosign completed a comprehensive Resort Master Plan for Sugar Bowl Ski Resort in 2019, focusing on enhancing guest experiences and preserving the resort's unique history. Known for its snowbound village—one of the few in the U.S.—Sugar Bowl required tailored design solutions to honor its traditions, including its association with Walt Disney, a frequent visitor during his life.

Ecosign's work encompassed several aspects of resort planning. We analyzed and suggested improvements to the guest arrival sequence and infrastructure, creating a logical flow that enhanced both convenience and aesthetic appeal, and worked closely with owners of the surrounding residences to improve their experience, too.

Addressing the area’s heavy snowfall, Ecosign incorporated innovative design solutions to maintain functionality and safety. Another highlight from our work at Sugar Bowl Resort is the design and implementation of a tubing area, now operational and prominently featured by the resort. 

Throughout the Master Planning process, multiple development plan iterations were crafted in collaboration with local consultants, ensuring compliance with regional regulations. By combining thoughtful planning with a commitment to Sugar Bowl’s heritage, we are proud to have delivered a project that balances modern amenities with the resort's historic charm.
