Resort Planner

  Emily Mann is a land use planner and village designer in Ecosign’s base area planning division.  Emily has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Guelph.  Emily joined the Ecosign team in 2006 and for the past year, Emily has been concentrating on village design projects.   She was drawn to mountain resort planning because of her passion for the mountains and outdoor recreation. 

  Prior to joining Ecosign, Emily worked in Montreal as a Landscape Architect Intern for a firm that specialized in large scale urban parks and detailed landscape design.  She was a member of the design team for an award winning park in Harbin, China along with other projects in the Quebec area.  She has also had international experience working for a landscape architecture firm in Berlin, Germany.  

  Working under the direction of a project manager, Emily has been the lead designer of village redevelopment master plans for 3 Colorado resorts including Breckenridge, Keystone and Steamboat Springs.   These complex projects have required resolution of transportation planning, urban design, staging analysis, pedestrian circulation and the client’s objectives for attractive accommodation development.  Emily has also worked on design projects in Japan, France, Andorra, Russia and Switzerland.  These projects vary from large scale base area feasibility analyses to small single site redevelopment plans.

  Emily has excellent design and graphic communication skills as well as a strong ability in developing creative solutions for difficult design problems.  Ms. Mann is proficient in several computer programs such as AutoCAD, Adobe PhotoShop, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel, used for base area programming and design presentation.
