Manager of Resort Planning
/Landscape Architect

     Bruce has more than 17 years of local, regional and international experience in Land Use Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture and most recently Resort Master Planning.  As a practicing, registered Landscape Architect, Bruce has been active leading and participating in the planning, design development and implementation of comprehensive Recreational Land Use and Community Master Plans, Resource Management Land Use and Visual Impact Studies, Public realm and Market Housing Development projects and four-season Mountain Resorts throughout, Russia, Scandinavia, Europe, Canada and the United States.

  In addition, Mr. MacDougall spent a number of years working in the public sector.  During his tenure with the municipalities of West Vancouver and Delta, Bruce worked directly with elected officials, other levels of government, and community groups addressing public welfare and livability issues affected by regional and community growth.  As parks planner, the position entailed collaborating and coordinating with other municipal departments in assessing and approving current and future directions for community development, parks, open space and infrastructure expansion.

  Currently, Mr. MacDougall is project manager for Ecosign’s work as master planning consultant on the Sandwell team for the 2010 Whistler Nordic Centre  in the Callaghan Valley.

  Mr. MacDougall’s comprehensive understanding of the planning process, programming, design development and complex, multidisciplinary projects is complemented by strong management skills, an attention to detail and his graphic and public presentation ability.

  Mr. MacDougall is a graduate with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Guelph and is a member of the British Columbia Society of Landscape Architects.
